I am an Ex-Servicemen and I have not been provided with subject/ year wise %of marks. What should I enter in my application?
For Ex-servicemen, filling of the details about marks is not Mandatory, such as they can leave the marks column blank.
I have appeared for NAC Examination and the results are to be announced shortly. Can I fill the application?
Only those candidates will fill the form whose result is declared and the Marksheet is received.
I have passed my ITI and NAC examination in Wireman /Lineman trade, Can I apply for Electrician Trade?
Only those candidates are fill the form who passed the examination only in electrician trade.
Will there be any weightage for the additional qualifications possessed?
There will be no weightage for any additional qualifications. However, those will be considered at the time of interview (if you have passed written test and appearing for interview) if those are relevant to your job.
Will it be possible for me to write the written test in my mother tongue-Gujarati?
No. The question papers are issued only in three languages i.e. Hindi, English & Tamil.
You had asked for proficiency in Tamil. If, I don’t have proficiency in Tamil, will my application be rejected?
No. Proficiency in Tamil will not affect your selection.
I am working in a Govt/Puplic sector company. Should I enclose NOC from my employer at the time of applying for the written test?
Candidates presently employed in Central/State Govt departments, PSUs, Autonomous bodies should submit the NOC at the time of interview, in case they qualify up to this stage

I am an ITI + NAC holder meeting all requirements with respect to Qualifications belonging to the General category. I am 27 years and 5 days old on 01st September 2011. I don't have any working experience. Am I eligible to apply?
The upper age limit of 27 years is prescribed as on 01st September 2011 and no deviation is allowed hence you are not eligible.
I am a ITI + NAC holder meeting all requirement with respect to Qualifications belonging and I have served in a Power Generation/Transmission company for a period of 4 years. Is there any relaxation for me in the upper age limit?
The upper age is further relaxable upto 7 years, as on 01st Sept, 2011 to candidates possessing working experience in a company manufacturing the products as mentioned in the Advertisement. This age relaxation will be available to candidates having aforesaid experience of atleast 50 months of continuous or intermittent service for availing 7 years relaxation and on rata basis for less than 7 year relaxation. Such candidates will, however, have to complete with other eligible candidates in test / Interview, etc…
Should I enclose all my experience certificates with the application?
If you had asked for age relaxation in connection with your experience, certificate from employer(s) stating clearly the period of service, the product manufactured in the Company and nature of job done by the applicant to be attached for getting the same.

I secure Best Apprentice/Runner-up Apprentice (Gold/Silver) form skilled regional Competition. Can I have advantages of this?
Only those candidates have advantages who secure Best Apprentice /Runner-up Apprentice from all India Apprentice competition conducted by Directorate General Employment& training, Ministry of labour & Employment.
I am SC/ST/OBC candidates but don’t have the caste certificate, can I apply as a general candidates?
If you so desire and with in the age limit, you may apply as general candidates (if eligible for Gen. Category) giving a category as "General". I Such as event, your candidature will be considered as "General" and no change in category shall be allowed at a later date.
Will any travelling Allowance be paid to me for attending the written Test/Interview?
No travelling Allowance is payable to the candidates for attending the written test. You will have to attend the written test at your own expense. Candidates attending the interview will be reimbursed second sleeper train fare as per rules. However, at the time of interview if its found that the candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, he will neither be allowed for the Interview nor paid any Travelling Allowance.
I have submitted my application and sent the acknowledgement slip along with SBI challan and required certificates by registered post. But I have not received any acknowledgement from your end. I would like to know whether my acknowledgement Slip has reached your office?
You may enter acknowledgement number and Date of Birth in the Application Status link our home page in this sites and you can get information about status of your application.
Can I send a Cheque or Demand Draft in lieu of the Challan along with the acknowledgement Slip?
The payment through "Power Jyoti Account No: 31170378124" in any of the branches of State Bank of India across the country by way of challan only will be accepted.

Should I have enclosed any self-address/stamped envelope along with the acknowledgement Slip?
You need not enclose any self-address /stamped envelope along with the Acknowledgement Slip as you have to download your written test permission slip and other documents from the website.
If selected where will I be posted?
If selected you may be posted to any of the Manufacturing Units or project Sites spread all over India.
Will company make arrangements for stay during the interview?
The interview schedule will be intimated in the written test call letter. You have to make your own arrangements for your stay during this period.
Should I enclose PH certificate?
If you are claiming that you are coming under PH quota and sought for age relaxation, you must definitely attach a copy of the certificate issued to that effect.
